I bought this Iris painting for three dollars at the thrift store today with the intent of painting over it for use as a blank canvas. I changed my mind and started a typographic collage. Inspired by magazine cover design, the Iris represents life and the text blurbs build the story of losing identity through media such as religion and politics.
